hen I started this company my mom said, “Make sure to have a light scent like Lavender, because everybody don’t like strong scents.” Did I listen? No! I didn’t listen because I like strong scents; however, I still made a Lavender candle for my mom exclusively. After being in business for a year I started to do Farmer’s Markets in and around Los Angeles. My first week in business every other person asked me if I have a Lavender scent and I had to see their disappointment when I said, ‘No.’ After hearing customers ask for over a month I added a Lavender scent, the Lavender scent I had been making for my mom, so I named it Val’s Lavender.
