Description
Stark black and white form the foundation of this artwork, with a heavy, swirling curtain motif framing all sides in agitated, wavering folds. The shading intensifies toward the outer edges, drawing out the curtain’s dense texture and worn look. At the top, ‘ACCESS REMAINS’ is rendered in large block letters set in a slight arch, each letter bevelled and shadowed for dimension. Fabric strips lace through and partly mask some of the lettering, merging the text with the draped forms surrounding it.
The phrase ‘COME AS YOU ARE’ appears below in a tightly packed rectangle, with pointed triangles flaring from each end and crisp white serif lettering compressed into the darkened ground. The print’s mix of sharply defined borders and flowing lines brings together clarity and tumult. On the heavyweight unisex crewneck t-shirt, the illustration’s density extends to the seams, making full use of the garment’s front.
