Design story & product details
The O in the masthead is not a letter at all: it has been replaced by a small skull, turning NEWSPAPER into a deliberately damaged piece of front-page language. A tiny circular mark at the upper left and a lone figure at the upper right come with scribbled, unreadable copy, like fragments of a page whose reporting has broken down.
Are We Facing The End? is a heavyweight unisex crewneck T-shirt built around a sepia newspaper front page, its tan edges torn against a gray field. A fine rule carries the question “ARE WE FACING THE END?” between gray marks and a black block, then gives way to the oversized cream headline, “WHAT IS GOING ON IN THS WORLD?” The missing I in THS is part of the artwork.
Under the headline, tightly packed brown and black buildings burn through a low skyline. Flame forms climb into a smoke mass at upper right, where the cloud resolves into a monster-like face without becoming a literal character.
A wooden post at left points toward WAR, GLOBAL WARMING, NUCLEAR WEAPON and FLOOD, each held in a bordered label. EARTHQUAKE and STARVATION appear separately at right with no visible post, leaving the page framed by an empty tan margin.
