As a print on a crewneck sweatshirt, the mottled turquoise and rust patina keeps its weathered-metal grain. The artwork looks up at the Statue of Liberty’s forearm, with the fist around the torch, while carved serif capitals climb the metal: Arm Raised Since 1886. Still Not Asking For Help. It’s a dry joke about stubborn independence. The best detail is a small gull perched beside the gold flame, calmly using her as a rest stop.
