"Avoir Confiance" Classic Dad Hat · Embroidered

Embroidery gives Avoir Confiance a compact, raised line quality on the Classic Dad Hat, preserving the small tan arch and its dense black contour work without filling the surrounding field. The French words mean “have confidence,” arranged in two sharply different rhythms: the upper word rises in an arc, while the lower word holds a level, closely spaced baseline. White letter interiors make the heavy black edging and tapered hatching read distinctly in thread.

Its rounded stepped feet give the arch a measured base, and short tapered hatch marks follow both curves. At the crown, a dark red keystone narrows downward from a wider top and carries horizontal black strokes inside. Generous empty space remains within the arch and below it, making the near-touching lower letters feel even denser.

Threaded outlines frame the serif forms in firm black borders, with white interiors and tan, dark red, and black areas kept distinct. The tapered hatching is especially important here: it follows selected letter strokes and both sides of the arch, while the keystone’s horizontal marks interrupt its red field. The curve, spacing, and internal line work remain legible at hat scale.
