Hardly a gap is left open. The drawing is packed with a quantum computer’s cooling rig, which hangs like a chandelier of stacked plates, silver lines and braided straps and narrows to a small chip in a gold cage. Around it, the lettering plays out a quick exchange: cool computer, how cold, colder than deep space.

The punchline on this heavyweight tee is no exaggeration, since these machines really do run near absolute zero. It suits the physics grad who brings up qubits at Thanksgiving.
