Description
Two lines of embroidery lend a structured and measured look to this solid grey dad hat. The upper line, ‘Courant,’ forms an arched silhouette, while the smaller ‘libre’ anchors below in a straightforward crossbar. The contrast between the upward arc and the steady base line gives both words a distinct presence, visible even from a distance.
The spaces created by the curve of the top word leave pockets of empty grey at each end, bringing subtle openness to the dense and closely spaced blue letters. Below, ‘libre’ maintains tight spacing but lets the background color show through more widely on either side, quiet compared to the arch above.
Both words are done in a flat, vivid blue embroidery, using a blocky, collegiate serif style without outlines or shadow.
