"Cross the Quiet Lake" 11oz Ceramic Mug

Deep reds and golden tones in the classic wooden boat sharply contrast against the dark navy water, broken up with dense white crosshatched lines indicating motion. The careful placement of a small white star on the hull and subtle shading within the red ribbon banners around the top and bottom draw the viewer’s focus to the center of the artwork, balancing the boldness of the vessel with the serenity in the sky and symmetrical mountain flanks.

A curved cream-colored ribbon arches overhead, inscribed with black gothic lettering that reads the phrase ‘CROSS THE QUIET LAKE’, separated by small red diamond shapes and bookended by purposely shaded, folded ends. The matching cream lower ribbon carries ‘ALPINE PASSAGE’ and ‘2026’ split by three red and black dots. Every section, from the pine-dotted forests at the base of the snow-capped peaks to the thick black outlines and the dense composition at the mug’s center, is conscious of symmetry while the untouched upper background creates a sense of open air. The message on the mug is in English.

• The artwork is densely detailed in the centre, with a blank sky left above the mountains and between the ribbons.
• All elements are outlined in thick, consistent black linework with flat, filled colors and no gradients.
• The symmetrical ribbon banners use cream, black, red, and deep shading to frame the graphic on the mug.
