Design story & product details
Each letter in DEEP END looks like it was carved from stone, with chips and cracks trailing across the thick turquoise fronts and deep navy sides. The weathered texture is broken up by even darker teal shadows beneath each block, giving them the look of something forged for the edge of a pool long ago.
Below the lettering, a skateboarder is caught while riding the shallow curve of concrete. Their pose is casual but alert—cream shirt, dark green shorts, slim white socks, and a low black hat barely shading their expression. The detail that makes this scene: there’s a single small drain hole in the pool wall, hardly noticeable unless you watch for it.
The rim of teal tile on the pool’s coping has been included with careful placement, cutting through the halftone-style cream and navy shadows. Most of the area is left as open, cream-toned space, letting the focus stay on the sharp edges and curved form of the pool’s lip.
Two banners settle at the bottom—one wide and cream with SKATE TRIALS in strong serif navy, the other a narrow round-ended teal ribbon spelling out POOL SESSION • 1986.
