Design story & product details
Cream against navy gives Dongdaemun Fortress its first clear contrast, while green and rust bring depth to the architectural scene. DONGDAEMOON curves in a steep arch overhead in tall cream serif capitals, with navy edging, offset shadowing and worn speckles interrupting the solid letterforms. The artwork on this Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt treats the gateway as a layered illustration, balancing crisp outlined masonry with more textured, irregular shading.
- Two tiers of broad navy tiled roofs turn upward at the corners, with cream ridge dots, green brackets and small rust-coloured columns worked into the pavilion.
- A curved cream stone enclosure fills the lower field in rectangular blocks, each outlined and unevenly shaded in navy; square openings break the parapet at measured intervals.
- A smaller tiled roof marks the large arched entrance, where a dark studded door remains partly open. Cream-highlighted rocks, green trees with rust trunks, distant buildings and dark green mountains build out the surrounding ground.
Cream cloud curls and three navy starbursts punctuate the open white areas around the roofs. DONGDAEMOON is romanised Korean for East Great Gate, giving the lettering a direct meaning within the fortified gateway image.
