Cobalt blue and deep plum streak through cream petals, and the same two colors carry over into the lettering, so the flowers and the words read as one piece. Three ruffled tulips, one wide open and two still in bud, lean out on green stems beside the stacked line Dressed for Tulip Season. The petals have feathered, stitch-like strokes that look almost embroidered on this heavyweight tee.

It’s a cheerful spring shirt for a gardener who counts the days until the first bulbs come up.
