Cream letters run across deep navy paint, and a single red x picks up the pinstripe along the fender. A vintage sedan has a total eclipse painted across its hood, its corona streaking white. Its owner leans on the windshield in eclipse glasses and gazes up. On this crewneck sweatshirt the line reads “Yes, I waxed it for the eclipse.” The bright flare on the moon’s edge makes all that polishing look worth it.
