Design story & product details

ELBOWS is set in tall, heavy navy serif capitals with an orange outline and a thin white inner line, roughed up like old show-poster type, and an octopus’s arms wind straight through the O and the B. The rust-orange octopus squeezes out of a crack in pitted gray rock, eyeing you sideways, and the line below explains the trick: elbows would only complicate this. On this oversized heavyweight crewneck, the stippled skin and rows of cream suckers come out crisp.

It’s a dry joke for someone who loves the ocean, so give it to the aquarium regular in your life on their birthday.
