Tiny flecks and barely-there streaks drift across the bold brushstroke letters, most visible near the sweep of each oval and along the pointed hooks. Two rows of tall Korean characters fill the upper part of the artwork, reading as ‘Go to bed early, wake up late’ in English. The Hangul letters group with almost no space between them, creating irregular open pockets surrounded by wide, pale strokes.
Below the Korean, a single line in thin, compressed serif type delivers the English phrase. The careful gaps inside the Hangul keep each character legible despite how densely they’re set. It’s a heavy unisex crewneck T-shirt that highlights the mix of languages and the playful contradiction of the message.
