"Graffiti Band Performance" Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt

No readable lettering runs through Graffiti Band Performance, leaving the three musicians to carry the image. The large bass drum is the detail that gives the performance its weight: its cream face fills the lower middle, interrupted by a black circular port and an angled microphone. Cream drumheads, black rims and fine metal stands cut through the red shells. Near the upper right, an outlined crown appears among triangles, dotted patches and zigzags, while white space around the edges keeps the composition from closing in completely.

Broad stripes arrive with rough, uneven edges in red, yellow, turquoise, cream and black. Scratchy black strokes describe folds in the clothing and shadow the faces and hands; cream highlights pull those features back into view. The result combines drawn instruments and figures with graffiti-like fragments, where dots, slashes and angular forms press around the players without forming a slogan.
