Design story & product details
“MIDNIGHT OWL” is drawn in thick, bold serif capitals, its arch rising toward both edges and carrying a heavy black fill softened by slight outline shading. “SOUND COMPANY” follows in narrower serif capitals on a straight line. Gramophone Grove brings that lettering to a Unisex Longsleeve T-shirt, where black ink develops an owl-and-gramophone emblem against grey.
- The circular scene gives the large owl detailed feather lines, with sharp talons gripping the antique gramophone’s turntable base beneath its fluted horn.
- Pine trees frame the owl on either side, while scattered musical notes occupy the upper corners without crowding the open space above the circle.
- Ornate scrollwork and floral flourishes shape the lower border around “AUTHENTIC SOUND,” followed by “NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE” and “AUSTIN, TEXAS” in thin block capitals.
The densest linework gathers through the bird, machinery and lettering, leaving the side margins and the gap between the arched masthead and circular illustration notably clear. That measured spacing keeps the many fine marks from merging into a single dark field.
