The diagonal red display lettering at the top immediately pulls the eyes upward, aggressively italicized and sliced by bold black triangles, each incised cut giving the largest letters a jagged but highly intentional rhythm. Underneath, the blockier black text and broken red-and-black checkered strip form a gritty underside, lending a sense of wear and momentum as if the finish line itself is in flux. Tucked below all that, negative space hovers above the next layer, its expanse giving room for the real centerpiece.
The cream-toned rally coupe illustrated with its six-lamp front bar and number 28 lurches through the air, sending up a halftone cloud of dirt and debris in a nod to classic motorsport magazine printing.
