Description
A heavy gothic blackletter headline spelled out as IRON sits above AFTER HOURS, its tall, spiked outline letterforms outlined and packed close. Sharp, thorned serifs jut from the text, with fine star accents breaking up the words. The effect is dense and pointed, giving the top a marked sense of weight.
Directly below, a hexagonal dumbbell with battered ends and meticulous crosshatching anchors the design. The surface shows dings and scratches, suggesting frequent, unhurried use. Winding around the bar is a single rose—finely drawn—and its stem, armored with thorns, coils outward to form a subtle frame that continues down to the very bottom edge.
The composition culminates in a ribbon banner at the base, arching below the rest and set apart by ample negative space. Its small serifed text reads “THE WEIGHT ROOM IS STILL OPEN.” All elements are rendered in the same pared-back grayscale and sepia palette on a flat gray background, emphasizing line and shadow over color.
