Description
Dense crosshatching forms the shadow caught inside each curling lily petal, interrupted by the irregular cracks of a toppled archway. A row of gothic type—its letters accented with sharp thorns and star motifs—spreads overhead, each word rimmed in hatch marks so tight they look almost solid.
Curved stems weave through broken stones, and every cut line in the stonework is picked out with as much detail as the long, veined leaves. At the bottom margin, a narrow ribbon set with thorned borders carries the quiet phrase ‘A NARROW PLACE TO BLOOM’, shaping the design’s theme directly in the artwork. You see all of this printed in off-white against the heavyweight crewneck tee’s grey, leaving wide fields of negative space beyond the drawing’s borders.
