The hind foot kicks straight through the word Rumor, as if the jackalope is already leaving the gossip behind. That is the joke, because the jackalope is a tall tale itself. Here it is drawn in fine pencil hatching as an antlered hare leaping over spiky silver blackletter edged in deep purple flame.
