Heavy dark uppercase lettering gives Retro Bears its first cue: words run along the lower edge of three panels in a four-part bear grid. On the Unisex Longsleeve T-shirt, “RETRO BEARS” appears beneath the upper-right and lower-right heads, while “COOL BEARS” anchors the lower-left. The largest bear, at upper left, is left without a caption.
Each panel frames a front-facing head with rounded ears, small dark eyes, and an elongated muzzle ending in a shaded nose. Mustard and ochre mark the upper-left field; mint and teal take the upper right. Pale sage, white, and muted green fill the lower left, while salmon and coral fill the lower right. The panels do not use the same scale: the upper-left portrait is visibly bigger than the other three in the grid.
Dark outlines and short fur strokes keep the heads direct, while white flecks and irregular worn patches break through the coloured bands, most noticeably at their edges. The lettering is solid and dark, with small flared terminals and no contrasting outline. That restrained treatment lets the four panels read as one deliberately weathered mark.
