At first glance, the upper arch of the word ‘RIDE’ is hard to miss, but a close observation reveals how the solid blue block lettering nearly touches in every direction, lending a dense, packed feel to the upper third of the artwork. The ‘AWAY’ below presses the composition wider still, its sprawling blue type stretching from edge to edge, with especially narrow islands of negative space inside the A and W. Everything above claims attention through boldness, while the bottom subtly shifts atmosphere.
