Description
The illustration features a large winged figure in cream-white, composed with meticulously layered stipple and cross-hatch textures against a grey ground. The setting is intimate: heavy feathers are rendered one by one, overlaying the raised wing behind the bowed head, with each mark placed for subtle shifts of tone. Close observation reveals the sharp details in the folds of the robe and the solid clasp at the shoulder, where dark lines suggest weight and volume. A bare foot just touches the lower edge.
On the right side, a wide black panel is reserved for typographic elements. The headline, formatted in stacked, thick-serif blackletter style, declares ROOM BENEATH THE WING.
