Description
An upward-arching blue ribbon gives the Sounding artwork its full span, with folded ends reaching out into pointed tails that notch inward before their tips. Its dark blue face is framed by lighter blue strips following both curves, all held in thick black outlines that also trace the fold lines and inset borders. The word SOUNDING, the only lettering, runs with the arch in heavy serif capitals: light blue interiors meet a firm black edge, leaving very little open ribbon behind them. An orange-red bar with rounded ends runs beneath the word, and its black contour remains visible where a four-point star crosses its middle.
On the Classic Dad Hat, embroidery gives those outlined areas a deliberately bounded, graphic read. The star is not a standard four equal points: its vertical points extend much farther than the short side points. Dense detail stays inside the ribbon-and-symbol arrangement, while the surrounding artwork leaves broad plain space; that contrast keeps the arch, bar and star legible as separate parts of one mark. The pointed tail cuts are sharply defined at either end.
