The upper word is built as an arch, with the central I held at the peak and the letters on either side leaning away from it. Clear spaces keep all five characters separate. Its heavy block forms pair squared slab serifs with the rounded bends of the S, G, R and O. Flat ochre-brown letter faces are enclosed by thick black outlines, without shading or added surface detail.

Below the open arch, Growing takes a much broader horizontal course. The seven letters share an even baseline and press close enough for several black contours to meet or nearly meet, making this row notably denser than the one above. A wide white interval remains between the two words, so the compression of the lower line does not blur the arrangement.
