Description
The space around the artwork is left intentionally unfilled, sharpening the focus on the interplay between monumental text and a figure rendered in grayscale. What emerges is a study of transition and material: the chiseled, stone-textured letters span nearly the full width, their cuts and grooves echoing a process not yet complete. Beside the five rows of text, a woman’s bust shifts from the realism of skin to angular, faceted rock, her calm expression contrasting with the geometric stone across her torso. An iris blooms beside her, its sharply defined petals and pointed leaves hinting at the persistence of form. Two outward-pointing arrows at the bottom frame fine gold subheadings, details only discernible from up close.
