Design story & product details
The print puts a lone figure, hood up and cap turned back, at the center of stairs worn smooth by use. Skateboard under one arm, the drawn lines keep the direction clear—up through the tunnel of curved ledges, with all edges and textures held in place by a narrow palette.
Most of the figure is seen from behind, the forward lean and arm position making the walk’s intent clear. The text at the top, THE WALK BETWEEN RUNS, is tall blackletter rendered with just enough distress: each cream shape is broken by thin scratches and pocked edges, as if pulled through concrete. The words are split by the dark cap, leaving the third word partially hidden. Below, a scroll holds serif text reading BACK TO THE TOP, diamonds on each side for balance.
The mark sits sharply on the tote, with a flat gray behind all elements. Focus runs between dense stylized text blocks and the visual break around the figure. Maroon, cream, gray, and black are matched throughout the art and the scroll’s shadow undercurl is drawn clean, a consistent hand holding all features together.
