Description
Heavy blackletter shapes the words wild rose in deep maroon, each letter sturdy with sharply pointed ends and subtle variations in stroke weight. The angular forms and jagged interiors of the D’s and O’s play against the solid mass of the rest of the letters, showing a decided emphasis and a hand-drawn gravity that feels both deliberate and intense.
Above the lettering rises a single rose bud graphic, set with pointed calyx leaves that fan outward and a slender stem that trails down and to the right. Two curling leaf forms lift above the bud, giving the flower a sense of upward movement.
