Der Haehak Bandodo zeigt Kraniche und Pfirsiche über dem Meer und symbolisiert den Wunsch nach Langlebigkeit und ewiger Jugend.
Er gehört zur Sipjangsaengdo-Serie (Zehn Symbole der Langlebigkeit), die Sonne, Mond, Meer, Wolken, Pfirsichbäume, Bambus, Kiefern, Lingzhi-Pilze, Schildkröten, Kraniche, Hirsche und Steine zeigt – allesamt Symbole für ein langes und erfolgreiches Leben.
Dieses Gemälde wurde besonders während der späten Joseon-Dynastie populär und zierte königliche Paläste und edle Haushalte als Faltwände, die Wünsche nach Gesundheit und Glück vermittelten.
Der traditionelle Faltfächer wird aus Hanji (koreanisches Papier) und Bambus gefertigt und enthält einen dekorativen Knoten (Farbe wird zufällig gesendet).
