El Haehak Bandodo representa grullas y melocotones sobre el mar, simbolizando el deseo de longevidad y juventud eterna.
Pertenece a la serie Sipjangsaengdo (Diez Símbolos de la Longevidad), que presenta el sol, la luna, el mar, las nubes, los melocotoneros, el bambú, los pinos, los hongos lingzhi, las tortugas, las grullas, los ciervos y las piedras, todos los cuales representan una vida larga y próspera.
Esta pintura se hizo especialmente popular durante la última dinastía Joseon, adornando palacios reales y hogares nobles como biombos que transmitían deseos de salud y fortuna.
El abanico plegable tradicional está elaborado con hanji (papel coreano) y bambú, e incluye un nudo decorativo (color enviado aleatoriamente).
