Design story & product details
Open white space between the curved neck and the upper lettering gives Against The Drift room to breathe before the bird enters the composition. Cream “AGAINST” follows the top in block capitals, edged in dark navy with red offset sides and fine scratches breaking the solid letter faces.
Below, “THE” is held between two red streaks, while “DRIFT” enlarges beneath it. On the Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt, the dark navy bird carries cream feather strokes through both wings; its narrow hooked bill turns toward the upper right, a small directional detail that keeps the bird from reading as a flat emblem.
Red marks pick out the cheek, lower neck, and feather edges before continuing through the water. The webbed feet break into crowded cream splashes, navy curls, scattered droplets, and red wave highlights, making the lower section feel active without filling every area.
A second Against The Drift line runs along the bottom with horizontal rules and a small shield of wavy stripes. “Busan / Coast Study” appears there as part of the artwork’s lettering, anchoring the bird-and-water study without adding another image.
