Design story & product details
Lettering shapes the composition, stacking bold, slanted serif capitals across the large plate of a dumbbell, with each word compressed to fit and pressed close to the edge. The largest words, “HEAVY” and “OBJECTS”, are drawn in cream outlined with navy and edged again in a slim cream highlight, then detailed further by fine horizontal navy hatching close to their base. These words extend beyond the boundaries of the plate, narrowly balanced and nearly running into the air above the grip. “APPOINTMENTS WITH” follows the plate’s upper curve, smaller but just as dense, while arcs of “BRICK CELLAR” and “EST. 1988” cluster tightly at the underside.
The design contains a mix of pale cream and deep navy—a stippled and rimmed effect gives the dumbbell an aged, worked-in feeling that echoes the theme. A crosshatched grip links the two plates. On the Heavy Blend Unisex Pullover Hoodie, the print’s edges almost recede into the textured speckles that cross the surface, with details that make the piece suited to someone who values sports graphics or enjoys athletic nostalgia.
