Design story & product details
A huge, roughly circular canopy takes the lead in Beneath The Canopy, built from overlapping charcoal, dark olive-grey, and lighter grey patches. Its perimeter is neither clean nor even: stippling, scraped breaks, and stray flecks loosen the edge. Beneath it, a nearly black trunk begins narrow, broadens slightly at the ground, and divides into fine, bare angular branches. Those branches remain legible through the canopy’s lower area, giving the dense mass an open, drawn-through structure. On the Unisex Longsleeve T-shirt, the image retains broad untouched space around the lower tree and figure.
A small black person appears to the left of the trunk, turned right with the head lowered. The long straight garment shape resolves into two narrow legs, a restrained detail against the tree’s larger scale. Irregular dark strokes run leftward under both forms, while short separate dashes gather near the base; these small marks keep the ground from reading as one continuous line.
