Design story & product details
White space stays clear beyond the irregular edge of the illustration, giving the packed water, figures and lettering a defined boundary on the Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt. Within it, six swimmers turn around the Happy Birthday message in a continuous arrangement, with curling teal waves and pale cream foam lines carrying through the open areas between them. Three figures rise over the lettering; the remaining three sweep around its lower edge with arms extended and legs bent.
- The Happy Birthday lettering combines tall, heavy serif capitals in red, ochre, dark teal, green and red, following a shallow arch with cream edging and fine dark contours.
- An ochre ribbon curves through the lower wording, with folded ends framing the dark serif Birthday letters.
- Red-and-cream dots, blue-and-cream stripes, and red-and-cream stripes vary the swimsuits, while the upper middle swimmer is the only figure with goggles.
Outlined bubbles punctuate the water without breaking its density, and the foam lines repeatedly curl back into the swimmers’ paths. The result keeps the lettering legible while making the figures feel connected by the same moving current.
