A woman seen from behind grips the collar of a long black velvet coat, her pinned-up hair coming loose in the wind, as the coat’s train spills out into huge rippling folds. Across that train, Black Velvet is lettered in worn, swashed serif capitals, with No Occasion Required beneath. The joke is dressing for drama on a plain Tuesday. Fine white sheen lines make the velvet on this crewneck tee look soft enough to touch.
