Design story & product details
Short black strokes at either end of the cream ribbon give its wording, “Built by a Proud Nation,” the feel of a maker’s mark. The ribbon curls beneath a right-facing motorcycle, where the low exhaust tracks close to the lower wheel and fine cream lines keep the packed engine parts legible. Its ribbed engine, spoked wheels, treaded tyres, round lamp and curved mudguards are drawn in black and cream.
British Thunder is a Unisex Longsleeve T-shirt built around a vintage British motorcycle graphic and a worn Union Jack field. “British Thunder” arcs in large cream serif capitals, its speckled letter faces contained by black edging and a narrow red outline. Red, cream and dark navy flag fragments break into brushy, ragged edges behind the bike, leaving very little quiet space within the artwork. The fuel tank carries a cream panel edged in red, with a winged circular emblem at its centre; it is a small but deliberate counterpoint to the darker mechanical drawing. The English wording frames the image as national pride and craft: “Built by a Proud Nation.”
