"Catnap Cap" Classic Dad Hat · Embroidered

Six bold serif capitals form a shallow arch, their grey interiors crossed with fine black hatch marks and held by thick black outlines. The central letters rise gently above the lower outer C and P, giving the word Catnap a compact, measured curve.

Over the lettering, a curled sleeping cat is enclosed by a heavy black contour around a cool grey body. Its two pointed ears begin at the left, while the broad back carries the silhouette toward the tail.

The lowered head rests against a front paw, a quiet detail that makes the pose read as sleep instead of simply a curled animal. Closely packed tapered strokes deepen the ears, face, flank and underside, then continue through the tail. On the embroidered dad hat, those marks preserve the drawing’s dark, hand-shaded character without closing off the pale spaces within the form.

At the right, the tail turns back into an open loop. A narrow clear strip separates the cat from the letters, and the open counters within the word keep the compact composition from becoming solid black.
