Charming on My Terms is lettered in heavy, condensed Victorian-gothic type in one dark plum, and the phrase reads like a polite warning: yes, I can be lovely, but only when I decide to be. The thorns make it worth owning. Every stem carries spiked serifs and barbs, so even the word charming looks like it might bite, and the letters lock into one dense block on this heavyweight crewneck tee.

It suits the friend who is sweet until someone pushes, and it makes a fitting birthday gift for her.
