Design story & product details
Layered colour gives the graphic a dense, poster-like edge on the Heavy Blend Unisex Crewneck Sweatshirt, with narrow white breaks preventing its many parts from running together. Tall cream serif letters arch over an orange tabby; black outlines, offset shadows, and scattered dark distressing give the type an abraded finish. Its pointed ears rise into the gap under the upper lettering, locking the illustration tightly to the words.
Both cream-and-orange paws cover the cat’s eyes as it holds a horizontal fish, whose forked tail points left and open mouth faces right. Blue-grey scales overlap densely along the fish’s back before fading into a cream underside. A curled black ribbon crosses the lower body with the wording Don’t Tell Me What To Do, a direct refusal to be instructed. Gold-edged starbursts and thin pointed ornaments fill the remaining gaps, including one below the ribbon.
- Fine cream strokes mark the striped fur, pale chest, muzzle, and long whiskers.
- A round eye ringed in yellow appears near the fish’s open mouth.
- The lower ornaments retain gold edges against the dark ribbon and orange fur.
