Thin gold capitals climb across the lowest petal of a bearded iris, and the last word, Dusk, grows into a larger italic. The joke is a gentle one. The iris already wears the colors of evening, pale lavender on top and deep plum below, so the flower is the one dressed for dusk. On this crewneck sweatshirt the detail worth owning is the fuzzy golden beards, drawn in fine strokes like colored pencil.
