"Fern Banner" Classic Dad Hat · Embroidered

Fern Banner is an embroidered Classic Dad Hat built around a white ribbon that rises in a broad arch. FERN is the only lettering, rendered in dark red, heavy uppercase serif characters with a fine black edge. The outer letters lean away from the word’s high point, following the ribbon instead of remaining level.

From behind the ribbon, a flat green sprout reaches upward within a thick black contour. Its stem bends into an inward curl, leaving open white space around that turn and between the leaves. The green remains flat, with no internal veins or shading. One pointed leaf breaks to the left; two point right, a small asymmetry that keeps the plant from reading as a generic emblem. The black edging is most decisive at the leaf tips and each turn of the curl, giving the simple fills a deliberately bounded, badge-like finish. Black linework traces both curved edges of the ribbon, then marks its folded triangular corners before opening into broad fishtail ends. The letters run close to the ribbon’s upper and lower bounds, so the dark red word carries most of the banner while the clean white ground gives the green leaves room.
