Design story & product details
Dark olive serif lettering carries the route of the artwork, with “From the Moon” rising into “To Mars” on two upward-slanting lines. On the Unisex Longsleeve T-shirt, a beige astronaut stands over an ochre cratered sphere, giving the lettering a figure to travel with. The letterforms are solid and unoutlined, keeping their weight clear against the surrounding space scene.
Rounded green Korean lettering near the centre-right means “galaxy.” A yellow crescent, a small golden sphere and a larger golden planet with fine elliptical rings extend the celestial grouping, while a mottled olive sphere holds the right side. Nine ochre five-pointed stars are spread around the scene, with notably open intervals between the stars below.
Fine dark texture defines the astronaut’s helmet, gloves, boots, seams and chest panel. The visor is nearly black with a green tint, a restrained detail against the lighter suit. A cream rocket heads upward-right with a rust-coloured nose and fins, a circular dark window, and a short yellow exhaust. Shaded craters across the large ochre sphere give the astronaut’s footing a rounded, worked surface.
