Design story & product details
The upper-left corner stays empty, as does the space at the right edge below the lettering. That breathing room leaves the pigeon and its raised wing to carry the artwork on the Heavy Blend Unisex Pullover Hoodie. Drawn in black and white with the texture of an engraving, the bird turns in three-quarter view, its head lowered into its chest and its eye closed. One wing fans up and out to the right. Dense black hatching runs through each feather, with white highlights keeping their individual edges clear. The breast has a finer, speckled surface, while the darker neck changes to a scaled pattern.
Give me a minute follows the wing in a diagonal stack of tall, condensed letters. Their rough, chiselled edges and thick black outlines echo the marks in the feathers without taking over the bird. At lower left, These wings take work is smaller, bolder and slightly warped. The period after work gives that second line a definite finish. Both clawed feet still grip the ground beneath the raised wing, a small practical detail beside the request for a pause. It suits someone who appreciates a dry excuse for taking a break.
