Design story & product details
Near the upper left of the hoodie’s print, a short strip of off-white tape spans a deep lavender knit, its rough edge and sporadic dark smudges surprising on closer view. Much of the background is taken up by a lavender cap rendered with dense, compact loops and shadowed troughs that define its ribbed texture. The broad rim bends around a shadowed oval, revealing rows of fine internal ribs in a slightly lighter shade of purple than the knit’s surface.
Two strips of tape lie across the knitted form — the shorter nearly straight, the longer diagonally bent with both ends overlapping the cap and points of fractured edge. Their uneven outlines and scattered grey-black stains play against the even, repetitive build of the cap’s loops, and their weighty, physical presence is carried into the grain of the print itself.
Below, individual dark letters announce “STILL FINDING TAPE ON MY SLEEVES.” Each letter sits on an off-white patch, bordered and shaped irregularly, with the whole phrase dropping gently from left to right. Letter heights and baselines shift noticeably, giving the words a cut-and-moved look. The flat lavender knit and the rough tape patches make the artwork tactile even as a printed image.
