Design story & product details
A pale cream typographic print gives the Heavy Blend Unisex Crewneck Sweatshirt a measured, centered mark built from Good People and Brighter Days Ahead. Good and People arrive in broad serif forms, their faint grey outlines holding the cream faces cleanly against the garment. Narrow dark-grey strokes trace selected curves and upright stems from within, so each letter has an inset line with a small margin of cream left around it. Grey distressing appears as scattered speckles, light enough not to fill the letterforms.
The construction is more particular than a plain collegiate wordmark. The oval counters of the O letters are notably tall, and several serifs end in sharp tapering points. People runs wider than Good, with its letters packed close together, while Brighter Days Ahead is reduced to a tall, narrow line with generous spacing between characters. On either side of that smaller line, two short parallel grey bars make a restrained framing device. There are no images, symbols, or background shapes: empty openings and open space leave the lettering to carry the design.
