The empty space around the edges is part of the joke, because a merle Great Dane leaves room for almost nothing else. He stands over a bass drum and hides most of it behind his long legs, and the torn-paper lettering on this crewneck sweatshirt says it plainly: Great Dane takes up half the stage.
