In ink, the comet keeps its scratchy, hand-drawn strokes, so the orange nucleus and its pale blue and cream tails look like a worn 1990s observatory poster on this longsleeve tee. Beside it, cream lettering reads, “Dad woke me up for a comet in 1997. I never stopped looking up.” Below, Hale-Bopp is set in heavy navy capitals, with Spring 1997 underneath.
