Design story & product details
Cloud forms in muted blue and cream slip behind peaked dark teal lettering that spells out “HALLASAN,” finished with precise angles and subtle cream lines. The print features a view down into the snowy volcanic crater, its wide pale interior enclosed by jagged dark ridges. At the midpoint, “FIRST SNOW” appears in blocky rust-orange capitals and the volcano’s elevation, “1,947 M,” is flanked by two short horizontal bars in the same color.
Along the slopes, irregular boulders capped by cream snow deepen into lines of dark blue shadow, and clusters of pointed evergreens and small branching shrubs fill the lower edges. Ochre flecks mark the bare faces of the rocks, lending a textured look throughout the artwork’s irregular border. The only words on the piece are the landmark and elevation; “Hallasan” refers to a volcanic mountain peak on Jeju Island.
