Design story & product details
Dark chocolate-brown and pale cream-yellow ink give Hanbok Under Moon its clear, open structure on the Heavyweight Unisex Crewneck T-shirt. Heavy, rounded Korean lettering arches over a large circular moon, with white gaps keeping the upper field from closing in.
A thin brown rim traces the cream moon, whose face is broken by irregular brown patches. Winged insects cross its edge and drift nearby, while unequal cream circles, tiny brown dots, and four-point stars punctuate the surrounding space.
The words are Korean and mean Whispers in the Moonlight; It Is Okay to Bloom Slowly. Brushlike lettering follows the lower edge between flowering sprigs, changing hands from the rounded arch and giving the language two distinct voices.
Below, a small figure faces away with coiled hair and a wide, floor-length dress. Fine floral panels and geometric trim run through the dress, while dense blossoms, buds, pointed grasses, and curling stems climb at either side; short brown ground strokes gather at her feet.
