Notice how the dark blue-green ink gathers heavier along the upper Korean line, where strokes with pointed tips and wide bellies create a lively, close-meshed wordscape. Some of these strokes arch out beyond their standard forms, curling below in swooping underlines that draw the eye from either edge. Pale speckling disrupts the otherwise deep tone, especially at the curves and ends, showing tiny flecks almost like worn paint.
